Blending natural landscapes with imagery inspired by the show posters of the old west, "Rattle & Hiss" is Nuri's tribute to the badass female outlaws of the American frontier. Life in the West didn't come easy for legends like Annie Oakley, Belle Starr, and "Stagecoach" Mary Fields, but their toughness and tenacity allowed them to thrive in extremely trying (and mostly male dominated) times.

Nuri's design celebrates the legacy of these women (and those like them) in beautiful detail, artfully depicting the danger, beauty, and fighting spirit of females on the frontier.

Nuri Amanatullah
http://www.nuriamana.com/

Nuri Amanatullah is an illustrator, designer, and muralist based in the Antelope Valley just outside of Los Angeles, CA. Rich in detail, Nuri's work is heavily influenced the frenetic energy of Jim Lee's illustrations in the X-Men Comics from the early-90's. Nuri takes elements of this style (among others) and makes it his own through explorations of subject matter from the natural world. Through unique textures, bold colors, and layered compositions, he imbues his work with a sense of action and electricity, allowing each piece to tell a tale all it's own. In addition to creating as a freelance artist, Nuri has lent a great deal of his work (and time) to the non-profit Housing Corporation of America helping to jump-start and brand a wide variety of onsite art programs at affordable income housing properties.

The Lost Angels Children's Project (LACP)

The Lost Angels Children's Project (LACP) is a Southern California-based charity organization developed to bring necessary aid to low-income, foster, and at-risk youth, helping to overshadow their struggles with creative activities and empowering them with positive memories. Through vocational training in art and Classic Car Restoration, LACP provides the kids with a safe after-school destination that promotes critical thinking and team-building skills.

Each year Aaron Valencia (LACP founder), his dedicated team, and the youth of Lost Angels Children's Project restore a classic car. Working tirelessly for months to give new life to an old vehicle, they spend countless hours sourcing parts, building the body, and adding distinctive details, creating a one-of-a-kind automotive masterpiece. While the car is being built, volunteers across Southern California sell raffle tickets for a chance to WIN the LACP-built custom Hot Rod. Once the car is complete, community members, donors, spectators, volunteers, and collectors convene at the Ventura Nationals Custom Car & Motorcycle Show in Ventura, CA for the unveiling of the car and the announcement of the raffle winner.

100% of the proceeds raised from ticket sales and donations go towards the maintenance and expansion of LACP's after school program, with the ultimate goal of providing the kids with the tools they need to become successful adults.
