FAQs

Where are orders shipped from?

Orders placed with BANDITS will be shipped from El Segundo, CA.

Is Shipping free?

Yes - however, please note that our Free Shipping option is USPS First Class package service. This service offers NO INSURANCE on your package and has recently seen significant delays in package delivery time.

If you've chosen the FREE SHIPPING option for your order, we apologize but at this time we CANNOT offer ANY refunds, returns, or replacements for items lost or delayed by USPS.

If you choose to use the FREE SHIPPING option for your order, we highly recommend protecting your order using the ROUTE SHIPPING PROTECTION toggle prior to checkout. This will provide insurance coverage against loss, damage, or theft to your order. If you choose the FREE SHIPPING option and do not select the ROUTE SHIPPING PROTECTION, we are not liable for lost, damaged, or stolen items.   answer

What is Your Return Policy?

We will gladly accept returns or exchanges of unused items within 30 days of purchase. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return or exchange, your item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition that you received it (ie. not signs of wear, no stretching, no marks, no damage to original packaging).

If you would like to return or exchange your item, please contact:

returns@banditsbandanas.com

We will send you a return label for your shipment. Please specify in your email as to whether you would like a refund for your return, or if you would like to exchange your return for another available product on our website. Please note that you will be responsible for the shipping cost of your return.

To complete your return or exchange, we will require a receipt or proof of purchase (email confirmation or packing slip qualify).

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.nswer

Do you offer refunds?

If your return is approved and you choose to receive a refund for your purchase, a refund will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

If it has been more than 10 business days since you received notice that a refund has been approved for your return and haven’t received your refund yet, first contact your bank or credit card company. It some cases it may take additional time before your refund is officially posted.

If you’ve done this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at returns@banditsbandanas.com. We will do our best to get your refund to you in a timely manner.

CAN I EXCHANGE MY BANDANA?

If your return is approved and you choose to exchange it for another product, we will process the exchange and charge/refund any cost difference to your credit card or original method of payment.

Note that you will still be responsible for the shipping costs of both returning your initial order and shipping your exchanged item.

CAN I DO A RETURN OR EXCHANGE IF I LIVE INTERNATIONALLY?

Unfortunately, all international orders are final sale and cannot be returned.

How long will it take to receive my order if I live in the US?

Once an order is placed it can take anywhere from 4-7 business days to be delivered if using the free shipping option.

Please note that the "Free Shipping" option we provide is USPS First Class Mail with tracking. This option includes no insurance on the shipment and unfortunately, if the "Free Shipping" option is used BANDITS cannot provide refunds or replacements due to loss or delays caused by USPS.

ALSO NOTE (from USPS):  DUE TO LIMITED TRANSPORTATION AVAILABILITY AS A RESULT OF NATIONWIDE COVID-19 IMPACTS, USPS PACKAGE DELIVERY TIMES MAY BE EXTENDED.

All other shipping options available at checkout will provide an estimated delivery timeframe.

Can I order if I live internationally?

Absolutely. International shipping is facilitated via either UPS or DHL (due to worldwide COVID-19 impacts, we have suspended all USPS options for international shipping). However, please note that for international orders you will be responsible for any additional import duties, customs, fees and taxes that will be charged by your country and not included in the fulfillment order. In some rare cases, payment may be necessary to release your order from customs before delivery.

When are orders shipped?

BANDITS ships orders Monday – Friday. In most cases, orders placed before 12PM will ship the same day. Orders placed after 12PM will, in most cases, ship the next business day. Orders placed on Friday after 12pm will in most cases be sent the following Monday.

Who makes your bandanas?

BANDITS bandanas are cut, printed, sewn, and packaged BY HAND at a Fair Trade Certified facility in Kolkata, India (FLOCERT - FLO ID 4512). BANDITS has personally visited the production facility to assure ethical employment practices and working conditions for everyone involved in creating our bandanas. Because every item is handmade, please note that small variances in products may occur.

Where does the cotton used in the bandanas come from?

The 100% GOTS-Certified Organic Cotton (CU 020876) used in our bandanas is sustainably sourced in India by our manufacturing partner in Kokata. The cotton comes from an organization called Chetna Organic, a multi-faceted social enterprise that aims to improve the livelihood of small scale and tribal farmers. Chetna works with over 25,000 farmers spread across the Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Orissa regions of India to make their farms more sustainable and profitable by providing access to global markets for ethical and fair-trade cotton.

How are the bandanas printed?

The bandanas are screen-printed by hand using the traditional table-style printing process found primarily in India and Southeast Asia. In this process the cotton is rolled and stretched out across long tables. The large silkscreen (one for each color of the design) is then placed on top the cotton. Next, a water based pigment paint or dye is applied evenly (usually by a two person team standing across the table from one another) throughout the screen and is allowed to filter into the fabric. This process is then repeated to the end of table the create a repeating pattern on the fabric.

What kind of paint is used in the printing?

BANDITS Bandanas are printed using water based fiber-reactive, color-fast pigments or dyes. These dyes infuse the bandanas with vibrant color that won't fade when washed. Reactive dyes also contain no latex, plastic, or harmful chemicals so they're safer for your skin and for the environment!

How are the artists compensated?

BANDITS negotiates directly with all of the featured artists to arrive on a fair commission/licensing fee and terms for each design.

How are the charitable donations calculated and paid?

For each bandana we sell, BANDITS sets aside 10% of the FINAL SALE PRICE of the bandana (ie. $3.00 for a price of $30) for the charity chosen by the design's artist. At the end of every fiscal quarter, we calculate the total "set aside" funds generated during the prior quarter. These funds are then donated as a lump sum to the respective charities on behalf of BANDITS and the artists.

Are the charities vetted?

Yes, each of the charities we donate to has been personally vetted by BANDITS. We have directly communicated with each charity to assure that all donations are being used to advance the mission of the organization.
